The Celebration will take place on the field next to the Fremont Rd. Town Forest.  It is the 1st field on your right coming from the center of Sandown.

Fremont Rd. will be closed from Philips Rd to Sargent Rd. to there will be plenty of save parking!
 

 

 

1st Annual Photo Contest is open as part of a celebration of the recent addition of 138 Acres of Open Space to Sandown’s Fremont Rd. Town Forest.

The contest is open to all photographers, but the photos must taken on the new property.

The following are the details of this contest:

1. There will be 3 categories: JUNIOR (Under 18), AMATEUR, and PROFESSIONAL.

2. Contestants will be allowed to enter 3 photos, either color or Black and White

3. All photos MUST be taken on the new conservation land bordered by Fremont and Odell Rds.

4. The photos will need to be dropped off at the Sandown Library.

4a. Photos must be no larger than 8x10. (Frames required)

4b. Make sure all photos have name, category, contact info, and ageif under 18 printed on the back.

5. The contest starts now

6. All photos must be submitted to the Library and in the drop box by closing time on Wednesday 9/24.

7. There will be a guided hike (with photography lessons) of the property on Sunday 8/31 at 1:00 PM

7.a Meet at the new parking lot on the Fremont Rd. Town Forest near the intersection of Fremont Rd. and Phillips.

8. The winners will be announced on Saturday 9/27 on the new Town Forest Field as part of that days Celebration activities.

9. Winners will be on display at the Sandown Library after the 27th.

The Sandown Conservation will be hosting a town wide celebration of the Expansion to the Fremont Road Town Forest.  The event will take place on newly conserved open space on Fremont Rd.

The festivities will start at 10:00 AM and end around 3:00 PM
