The Sandown Conservation Commission is holding a kids fishing derby for children ages 2 to 12.

The kids fishing derby will be held on Saturday April 26th from 7:30am to 10:30am at Bartlett pond in Sandown. The Sandown Conservation Commission will be stocking the pond with 200 trout. The trout that are caught may be taken home, but any bass that are caught are on a catch and release basis.

Worms will be the bait used for the derby, and some will be available at the pond for those who don’t have any with them. No lures will be allowed.

Registration forms for this event can be picked up at Sandown Town Hall or at the pond on the day of the derby. Registration will take place at Bartlett pond, 45 Main St and will start at 7am the day of the derby.
