Vernal Pool Workshop on Thursday 5/13 at 5:30 PM in the Fremont Road Town Forest:

The Sandown Conservation Commission in cooperation with the UNH Cooperative Extension is sponsoring a Vernal Pool Workshop in the Fremont Road Town Forest at 5:30 PM on Thursday 5/13.

This hands-on workshop will be led by Emma Carcagno, Wildlife Project Assistant, and Malin Clyde, Coverts Project Coordinator with the UNH Cooperative Extension.  They will lead attendees on a tour of 4 different vernal pools looking for the amphibians and wildlife the vernal pools support.

With luck we will find some Blue-Spotted Salamanders, Fairy Shrimp, Northern Leopard Frogs, and Red Spotted Newts.  Hope to see you!
